Through aperture in a grief in the size of 11 m, formed by aeration. A nature sanctuary, in spurs of the Burgustansky ridge. Here happened Pushkin, Lermontov. From it the fine kind to Kislovodsk opens. On June, 12th in Petchorin's diary record: "... Versts in three from Kislovodsk, in gorge where Podkumok proceeds, there is a rock named the Ring, these are the gate formed by the nature; they подымаются on a high hill, and the coming sun through them throws памир the last ardent sight".
This wonderful creation of the nature. As soon as the electric train does last turn to Kislovodsk, the mountain chain of the Borgustansky ridge on the right appears. In its spurs it is a lot of caves, and among them the ring in diameter in eight metres was formed. Caves and a ring - result of action of a moisture and aeration.
Ring-mountain not only nature sanctuary, but also the place connected with a name of M.J.Lermontov. The poet happened time and again in Kislovodsk, knew its vicinities.  On June, 12th in Petchorin's diary record: «... To the Ring went on walk княжна Mary with the environment. About it record in Petchorin's diary is made: «the Numerous cavalcade has gone there to look at a sunset through a stone window...»
Near to Ring-mountain galleries of the niches divided by columns, the ground winds were formed.
Ring-mountain - one of sights of Kislovodsk. The fine kind on a city from here opens. In one of caves, near to a ring, V.G.Gnilovskoj has found out an inscription:
To M.Lermontov
Here has visited your grotto sacred
I owing to the given vow.
I am torn by soul to you, invaluable,
But from you I do not have the answer!.
